This group is intended to provide the opportunity to explore and discuss a wide range of issues and ideas. It will not focus on one particular area but instead will capitalise on the wide range of up-to-date lectures by eminent scholars that Gresham College makes publicly available. Each month we will listen to a lecture and then have a free-ranging discussion exploring the different questions and ideas that the expert has stimulated.

Following the success of Gresham Group 1, it has become clear that, to hold free-flowing discussions, it is important to limit the group size. As quite a few people have become interested and want to join the group, it is decided to make it possible by creating a second group. This will follow the same basic approach as Group 1 and will be fully supported by them. A unique feature of the Gresham group is that all members are involved in deciding which lecture they will watch and discuss in the following month This enables members to explore different issues each month by listening to a university-grade lecture and then discussing it.
