Ageing Without Growing Old - “We don’t stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing” - George Bernard Shaw.
Our instructor, Kathy, is an experienced British Wheel of Yoga-trained yoga teacher who welcomes students with ongoing health conditions as well as those who are fit & healthy.
We are a small friendly group of men and women ranging from ‘1st timers’ to the more experienced. All levels of ability are welcome to join us.
Whether you’re 55 or 95, it is never too late to take up yoga. We practice gentle Hatha yoga, using stretching and soft movements to help release stiffness and tension from all parts of the body, which enables us to maintain & even regain our flexibility.
Exercises are progressive and adaptable to encourage everyone to work within their own safe limits. Guided relaxation, visualisation and breath work help to deeply relax and de-stress the body and mind, aiding better sleep. Sessions always finish with a relaxation – the favourite part of the session for most students!
We are in the Cross Barn in Odiham for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. The 1st Wednesday of the month, the class is via Zoom only.
